Project Overview

Seoulmate is a tourism app for people who are from different countries and want to travel to Seoul, Korea. People can plan their itinerary from home before travelling if they do not have internet or data on their mobile. Seoulmate suggests a variety of activities according to the users’ location such as attractions, restaurants and Accommodations. Also, it provides General Expressions in case if people face language barrier and Currency Exchange Calculator for their convenience.

Problems and Solution

The first problem with Seoulmate application is how to introduce Korean culture, activities and restaurants to people who do not know anything about Korea and do not know what to do in Korea. The solution that we found is showing the reviews and rates from people who went there or who live in Seoul to provide more authentic recommendation.

The second problem that we found is how to use this app if people do not have internet or data on their mobile. Because if they do not have internet or data, it would be hard to search places or activities and the app will not load the information. The solution is giving an option that they can plan their trip in advance so that they can access all information on their phone without internet or data.

Usability Test - Eye Tracking

Before starting to work on Hi-Fidelity mockup, check our design working fine with sketches by eye tacking. This step helps finding mistakes and improving user experience.

Result

Seoulmate will solve the struggle of tourists travelling to Seoul, Korea. As Seoulmate provides lots of interactions and useful functionality such as recommendation activities, general expressions and reviews, it will help travelers' concerns and will make their trip better.
